Noel's Influences

Noel has been influenced by an incredible number of legendary musicians. In this lesson, you find out exactly where Noel draws his inspiration from.

Breath Management

Your breathing pattern and airflow is the motor and the engine that drives your singing. In this lesson, Noel demonstrates different ways to practice and develop better breath management.

The Needle Exercise

In this lesson, Noel demonstrates the “Needle Exercise”. This exercise is designed to improve your breath retention and better control the amount of air you release when exhaling.

Your Natural Amplification

In this lesson, Noel demonstrates the different ways to utilize your skull’s natural amplification to project a fuller sound when you sing.

Caring for Your Vocal Chords

As a singer, it’s extremely important to take great care of your vocal cords. In this lesson, Noel shows you exactly how to take care of them.

Linking Vowels

“Singing is nothing more than linking vowels”. In this lesson, Noel demonstrates the linking vowel exercise by replacing the lyrics of a phrase with vowels.

Motorboat Exercise

This exercise allows you to control where the sonic vibrations occur throughout your skull when you sing.

Vocal Runs Exercise Piano and Voice

When Noel uses runs and vocal acrobatics in his singing, his objective is to make it musical so that the listener can relate to what they’re hearing. In this lesson, you learn how to do the same.

Singing Intervals

In this lesson, you learn how to use a harmonic instrument to better understand chords as well as the available notes and intervals that you can sing.

Inspiration Behind "Lo Mejor De Mi"

In this lesson, Noel talks about his inspiration behind composing “Lo Mejor De Mi”.

Inspiration Behind "Momentos"

In this lesson, Noel talks about his inspiration behind composing “Momentos”.

Student Sessions: R&B Soul Style

This lesson showcases how the techniques in our previous lessons can be applied to an R&B style song.

Student Sessions: American Pop Style
